By the age of 6 she had earned the Mike Pinder award in Kingston Ontario for dedication to music
At age 7 she was awarded 2nd place in the Ottawa Idol
At age 7 she was awarded 2nd place in the Oshawa Idol
At age 7 she was also awarded the Govenor Generals award for dedication
By age 8 she was the youngest person to make it to the Kingston Fair Finals Singing Competition finals
By age 9 she was the youngest to ever win the same competition
At age 9 she was the youngest to win The Stonemills Star Competition for the all ages category
By age 10 she was competing with adults and was the youngest to ever win the open division Fall Fair Finals
by age 10 she was opening for the China Idol, Ryan Malkam (Canadian Idol) , The Wilkinsons, and more
At age 11 she was the youngest to take first place in the Loyalist / Cangig country singing competition
At age 11 she released her debut cd single Blue Moon Of Kentucky with legendary Steve Piticco both playing on and producing the cd
At age 11 she also spent the summer of 2008 touring the festival & jamboree circuit in Ontario with
George Chenier & CanGig
promoting her cd and building a fan base and fronting bands that include musicians from Johnny Reed Tommy Hunter and Jason Mccoy's bands
She is currently recording her debut full length all original album with recording artist George Chenier
and looking forward to a busy 2009 when she will only be age 12
She has been compared to Carrie Underwood and Leanne Rhymes and has a stage presence and character that cries superstar. She truly is a performer that has to be seen to be believed. She also plays guitar , piano and drums and is constantly practicing to improve her skills and musicianship. Watch out world here comes Carolyn Derue.
